Keeseville Holiday Celebration returns Dec. 13

KEESEVILLE | For five years, locals throughout the towns of Chesterfield, Ausable, and beyond have gathered together for good cheer, and this year is no exception, as the Keeseville Holiday Celebration is returning on Dec. 13.
“We held our first event in 2020, as a way to bring people together. We were kind of worried; we just wanted to get 100 people there. But turns out, the event ended up a lot larger than we expected,” reminisced Town of Chesterfield Town Clerk Bruce Bourgeois about the event that was originally modeled around Christmas in the Forks in Au Sable Forks. “They have been so successful with their event, and we’re actively trying to reach their pinnacle. Thankfully enough, our event just keeps getting bigger and better each year.”
The festivities will kick off with a village-wide celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be singers, including Amanda Prescott, and free hot chocolate, coffee, and cider at the Independent Baptist Church, while Magician Wyatt Hackett will be performing at the Front Street Fellowship. The Dogfather Food Cart will be present, and there will be plenty of reindeer games (sponsored by the AMVETS in Keeseville), too.
