Clintonville Week: Celebrating a Small Hamlet with a Big Story
Dear Town of Ausable Residents,
Get ready to dive into the rich history and vibrant spirit of one of our cherished communities—Clintonville! Brought to you by the Anderson Falls Heritage Society, we’re thrilled to announce Clintonville Week, a special celebration spotlighting this small but mighty hamlet.
Clintonville may be one of our smaller communities in population, but don’t let its size fool you—it’s big in heart, history, and pride. This is a place that has produced notable individuals who proudly call it their hometown, a place significant enough to boast its very own ZIP Code! For over 200 years, Clintonville has been quietly weaving a story worth telling, and this week, we’re bringing that story to life.
Starting today and running for the next five days, Anderson Falls Heritage Society will be shining a spotlight on Clintonville’s unique legacy. Each day, they’ll explore a different chapter of its past:
- Day 1: The industrial origins that shaped Clintonville’s early days.
- Day 2: The religious organizations that built community and faith.
- Day 3: The proud tradition of military service from Clintonville residents.
- Day 4: Personal memories that capture the spirit of life in the hamlet.
- Day 5: The early civil structures that laid the foundation for its growth.
Join us as we take a close-up look at this remarkable hamlet, a hidden gem in the Town of Ausable with a history spanning more than two centuries. This week marks Clintonville’s bicentennial, and they’re aiming to honor it with 200 views for these Facebook posts—so please share them widely with your friends, family, and neighbors! Let’s make sure Clintonville’s story reaches far and wide.
It’s Clintonville Week at the Anderson Falls Heritage Society, and we can’t wait for you to explore this small community with a big legacy. Visit them at the Anderson Falls Heritage Society Museum (96 Clinton Street, Keeseville, NY 12944) or check out their website (andersonfalls.org) for more details.
Let’s celebrate Clintonville together—because a place this special deserves to be recognized!
Warm regards,
-Tim
