A Thanksgiving Message

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the season changes and the air turns crisp along the Ausable River, we find ourselves once again at that special time of year when we pause to count our blessings and give thanks.

On behalf of everyone at the Town of Ausable, I want to wish each and every one of you—whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just moved to our beautiful corner of the Adirondacks—a warm, joyful, and truly Happy Thanksgiving.

This year, like every year, we have so much to be grateful for in AuSable:

• The breathtaking beauty that surrounds us every single day—the river, the mountains, the forests.
• The incredible volunteers who keep our fire department, library, youth programs, and civic center running with heart and dedication.
• The local businesses and farmers who work tirelessly to keep our shelves stocked and our tables full.
• The highway crew, first responders, and town employees who show up day after day to keep our community safe and strong.
• And most of all, you—the residents—who make Ausable the warm, caring, tight-knit town we’re all proud to call home.

Thanksgiving reminds us that no matter what challenges come our way, we face them together. Whether it’s shoveling out a neighbor after a snowstorm, dropping off a meal when someone is sick, or simply waving hello on Main Street, the spirit of AuSable shines brightest when we look out for one another.

So as you gather with family and friends this week—whether around a big dining room table, a cozy kitchen island, or even over a video call—take a moment to savor the laughter, the stories, and the love that fills the room. And if you’re spending the holiday alone this year, please know that you are part of this community, and we are thankful for you too.
