Urgent Need for Lifeguards at Port Douglas Beach!
Posted: February 3, 2025
Hello Ausable Community,
Let’s reopen the beach! As we think ahead to another beautiful summer season at Port Douglas Beach, the Town of Ausable and the Town of Chesterfield are facing an urgent need for lifeguards. With the safety of our residents and visitors at heart, we are calling on all swimmers and water enthusiasts to step up and join our vigilant team of lifeguards.
Why We Need You
Port Douglas Beach is not just a scenic spot; it’s a hub for community activities, family outings, and a place where memories are made. However, with the lack of lifeguards the past few years, ensuring everyone’s safety has become more crucial than ever. Lifeguards are the first line of defense against accidents, providing not only immediate rescue services but also preventive supervision and education on water safety.
