Keeseville Free Library: March Newsletter
Dear Residents of the Town of Ausable,
I hope this message finds you well as we move through the early days of March 2026. As many of you know, the Keeseville Free Library at 1721 Front Street in Keeseville serves our community (along with neighboring areas like Chesterfield) as a vibrant hub for learning, connection, and fun for all ages. Their latest newsletter for March 2026 is packed with exciting programs, workshops, and events that are worth checking out.
Library Director Robyn shares an uplifting note: the team has refreshed the space by moving out book sale items, lowering shelves for easier access, and giving everything a spring cleaning. They’re gearing up for a busy summer and always welcome volunteers—whether donating time or sharing a skill. If you’re looking for a way to get involved locally, stop by and chat!
Here are some highlights from the March lineup:
- EPIC Parenting Workshop – Focused on realistic, non-judgmental discussions about communicating with teens, setting boundaries, and empowering youth. Sessions are scheduled for March 7 and March 21, 10–11:30 a.m. Great for parents, coaches, relatives, or anyone working with teenagers. (Preregistration required.)
- Sky Half Full Astronomy Series – A three-part outdoor/indoor series led by New York State Guide and Adirondack amateur astronomer Ed Gunther. Learn to use binoculars to explore the night sky. Meets March 20 (spring equinox), April 17, and May 15, 6–8 p.m. A perfect way to celebrate the season and stargaze locally! (Preregistration required.)
- National Nutrition Month Activities – Celebrate healthy eating and activity with Nutrition Bingo on March 24 at 2 p.m. and Bingocize on March 25 at 1:30 p.m. Fun, engaging ways to think about wellness. (Contact the library for details; preregistration may apply.)
- Constitution Talk – Join SUNY Professors Ray Carman, Daniel Lake, and John McMahon on March 31 at 6 p.m. for an informative discussion on the U.S. Constitution. Everyone gets a pocket Constitution—excellent opportunity for civic engagement!
