Keeseville Free Library: February Newsletter

Dear Town of Ausable Residents,

February is Library Lovers’ Month, and the Keeseville Free Library is celebrating in wonderful ways! As your local hub for community, learning, and connection, the library has an exciting lineup of events and activities this month. Here’s a quick highlight of what’s coming up:

• Friends of the Keeseville Free Library Open House – Join on February 7 from 12:30–2:30 p.m. to meet the founding members, learn about their mission, and discover how you can support our library’s future. It’s a perfect chance to get involved!
• Genealogy Consultation with local expert Nancy Smith on February 11 (10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.). Bring your family photos, DNA results, or research questions for personalized one-on-one help.
• Artisan of the Month: Stop by to see and purchase beautiful handcrafted soaps, scrubs, pillow sprays, and more from Jennifer Marshall of Solitude Soapworks – perfect Valentine’s gifts!
• Martha Gallagher “HOME” performance on February 21 at 1 p.m. Enjoy an uplifting afternoon of music, stories, and reflections on the meaning of home.
• Local Book Talk & Signing with Tony Olson on February 28 at 2 p.m. Tony will discuss his book Mountaintop Murder: The Sarah Barney Chronicles, set right here on Poke-O-Moonshine – a great pick for local history and mystery fans!

Other highlights include:

• Frederick Douglass local history talk (February 12, 7 p.m.)
• Kids’ Valentine Craft (February 14, 11 a.m.)
• Pillow Spray Workshop (February 28, 10 a.m.)
• Ongoing favorites like Children’s Storytime (Tuesdays 10 a.m.), Knit and Crochet (Wednesdays 10 a.m.), Dungeons & Dragons (Thursdays 6 p.m.), and more!

Many events require preregistration, so check the full February calendar on the library’s website (www.keesevillefreelibrary.org) or call 518-834-9054 to reserve your spot. The library is open Tuesday 10-6, Wednesday–Friday 10-5, and Saturday 9-3.
