Community Ice Rink Now Open – Grab Your Skates!
Dear Town of Ausable Residents,
Great news for winter fun in our community: the community ice rink on the tennis courts in Keeseville is now officially open! After several weeks of dedicated effort to build up a solid sheet of ice, it’s ready for skating, and we hope families, kids, and everyone will come out to enjoy this free, local spot.

Skating is at your own risk. Please be cautious, check the ice conditions before heading out, and supervise children closely. As always with natural outdoor ice, conditions can change with weather, so use good judgment and skate safely.
We’re especially grateful to our Highway Department team for their hard work and dedication over the past few weeks. They’ve not only focused on growing and maintaining the ice on the tennis courts but have also kept battling winter conditions on our town roads to keep everyone safe and mobile. Their commitment to both recreation and essential services is truly appreciated—thank you!
A special thank you goes to Bryan Bedard for generously donating lumber to line a portion of the rink. This helped contain the water before it froze, making the surface much better and more reliable for all of us. Your support means a lot to the community!

To keep the rink in great shape through the season, volunteers are always welcome to help shovel snow off the ice after storms or as needed. If you’re able to lend a hand (even occasionally), it makes a big difference in keeping the rink usable and enjoyable for everyone. Reach out to the Town office or Parks & Recreation if you’d like to get involved.
Bundle up, lace up those skates, and come enjoy some winter joy right here in Ausable! Let’s make this a great season on the ice.
Stay warm and safe,
-Tim
