Important Road Closure Notice: Clintonville Road Culvert Replacement

Dear Residents of the Town of Ausable,

The Clinton County Highway Department is gearing up for an essential infrastructure project in our community, and we want to keep you informed. Starting May 5, 2025, a portion of Clintonville Road over the Little Ausable River will be closed for a culvert replacement project. This work is critical to ensuring the safety and longevity of our local roadways.

Key Details of the Closure

• Location: The closure will affect Clintonville Road, approximately 1.5 miles north of the intersection with NYS Route 9N, between Dry Bridge Road and Arnold Hill Road.
• Duration: The road is expected to be closed from May 5, 2025, until approximately August 1, 2025, based on the current construction schedule.
• Detour Route: To minimize disruption, detour signage will be installed along NYS Route 9N, Cold Springs Road, and Hallock Hill Road. These routes will be maintained throughout the construction period to ensure safe and efficient travel.

What to Expect

This project involves replacing a culvert over the Little Ausable River, a necessary upgrade to maintain the structural integrity of Clintonville Road. While the closure may cause some inconvenience, the Clinton County Highway Department is committed to completing the work as efficiently as possible.
