Cloudsplitter Foundation Donates to the Civic Center
Dear Residents of the Town of Ausable,
I am pleased to share exciting news about a generous donation that will help advance the ongoing renovations at our beloved AuSable Chesterfield Keeseville (ACK) Civic Center.
The Cloudsplitter Foundation has donated $30,000 to the Friends of the ACK Civic Center. This thoughtful gift supports the continued efforts to improve and preserve this important community landmark, which has served our area since its construction in 1936 during the Great Depression.
The funds are anticipated to be used specifically to replace the windows in the gymnasium. This upgrade will significantly minimize heat loss, improve energy efficiency, enhance comfort for users year-round, and help reduce long-term operating costs for the facility.

On March 10, 2026, Chenelle Palyswiat, Director of Grants and Administration at the Cloudsplitter Foundation, personally delivered the check and toured the building. Her visit underscored the Foundation’s commitment to supporting projects that strengthen Adirondack communities.
The Cloudsplitter Foundation is dedicated to improving the environment, economies, and lives of people throughout the Adirondacks through innovative philanthropic programs. It supports a wide range of local initiatives, including those focused on community needs, arts and culture, education, and civic facilities—aligning perfectly with the goals of maintaining the ACK Civic Center as a vibrant hub for residents of Ausable, Chesterfield, and Keeseville.
This donation represents a meaningful investment in our shared future and highlights the power of community partnerships. On behalf of the Town of Ausable, the Friends of the ACK Civic Center, and all who enjoy and benefit from the Civic Center, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Cloudsplitter Foundation for their generosity and vision.
We continue to welcome community involvement—whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting future fundraising efforts—to keep this historic building thriving for generations to come.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our town and its amenities.
Warm regards,
-Tim
