Waterfront Park in Keeseville almost completed
By John Pike
KEESEVILLE | A big plus is coming soon for Keeseville. Town of Ausable Supervisor Tim Bresett says construction workers within a month will have completed the Keeseville Waterfront Park.
Most or perhaps all of it appears to have been completed. It is located on Ausable Street close to Main Street. The view overlooking Ausable River with rapids and 19th-century mill buildings is outstanding.
The park features two benches overlooking the river; a large grass picnic area; a playground for young children with a structure for them to play and climb on; a walkway; three interpretive or history panels for visitors to read; and a bank of parking spots. Bresett says eventually it will include a picnic table and possibly a barbecue and platform for events and musical performances. And he intends to apply for a grant to enlarge the park and viewing space.
