Keeseville Waterfront Park opens, offering scenic views and local history

KEESEVILLE, N.Y. —
Residents and visitors in the North Country now have a picturesque new destination to relax and take in the natural beauty of the Ausable River.
The Keeseville Waterfront Park officially opened on Wednesday, adding a vibrant public space to the community.

Located off Ausable Street, the new park features a children’s playground, a pedestrian walkway, and informative signage detailing the rich history of Keeseville.
“You can see most of the historic district, all the buildings that are lining the river,” said Erin Tobin, executive director of Adirondack Architectural Heritage. “You can better understand how the river and the hamlet’s industrial history come together. And so, I encourage people to come and look at the panels.”
Town of Ausable officials have further plans for the park, including the addition of a viewing deck to offer even better access to the scenic vistas along the river.
